Slow Bicycle Person.

 This is a Picture of Rocky Who Died on 30/7/08 He had to be Euthanesed because he was in great Pain and His Legs failed him through Arthritis.This was taken in early March  See the Previous entries for Details of his Final Days, sadly missed.

I decided to make a  New Blog about Cycling on Google,Hopefully it will be better for Uploading Pictures.  I was able to Upload the Picture of the Spanish Leprechauns that I saw in Howth http//levieenveloblogspot.com/

I have joined You Tube ,so you can see my Cycle Videos about Clontarf ,featuring Saint Annes Park , Sutton and Howth Village. They were made using my Olympus Camera 3 1/2 Million Pixels Camera Held at Chest Level or on the Right Handlebar. This Photo is of Myself on the Cycle Way at Sutton on the Road to Howth with the Peninsula of Howth on the right.This Stretches from Sutton to the Bull Island Causway and continues from the Wooden Bridge to Clontarf Railway.They the DCC Hope to put in an Extension of the Off Road Cycle way from the Wooden Bridge to the Causway. The Cycleway at Clontarf and Sutton is one of the few Decent ones in Dublin where you can Relaxe without the fear of Cars Bumpimg into you.

As you can see  Expensive, you cant get away from the Dreaded Vat ,Taxe Sur Le Value Adjoutee.

The House Callout did not Help either but I had no choice as he was very Heavy and when  I tried to move Him He was in Agony. So my advice to you all in a similar situation try and get someone with a Car that does not mind the Seats getting messed up or else get a small Dog. I am totally  Shattered by the Whole Episode still two Days Later.

Rocky my Dog was 13  1/2 years Old with Lumps and Bumps all over and with bad Arthritis in the back Legs.He was being treated with Metacam for the Arthritis as he was finding it hard Walking. When he wished to Drink or Eat, He needed Plenty of Room to get to His Dishes as his Legs sometimes Splayed Sideways and he sometimes hit the Dishes with his Paws. If he was resting and had to go out to the Toilet, his Legs would be stiff and he sometimes fell flat on the ground. But if he was Walking for awhile he would be alright but walked slowly. Last Week in the Local Park after I was Talking to Two People and I continue our Walk  he suddenly lost all Function of his Back Legs and it was a Job getting  him back to the House. But after an Hour he recovered and was back on his Feet. However a Week Later I heard a Bump in the Night and Rocky Barking a couple of times.I came down Stairs to find him Flat on the Ground and he had gone to  the Toilet. I cleaned up the Room and discovered He could not get up. I left it to the next Day to see if he woud improve he did not so I called the Vet. I said it looks like he will have to be Put to Sleep,and after Examining Him Agreed. She Shaved his Paw and gave the Injections, and I held his Head and Rubbed him. After a minute He Slumped and that was it, no Pain anymore. I elected to Bury him out the Back Garden. They gave me the Choice of Removing Him for Disposal themselves but said I would rather Bury Him  myself. It took about  Two Hours to Dig the Grave and I wrapped him in a Sheet, But he was to Heavy to carry. I tried Dragging Him but eventually I had to Put him on a Hand Truck to carry him to the Grave. The Rain held of during the Obsequese , all during the time I was digging the Grave the Rain tried to start but didnt and after he was buried the Sun came out for a couple of Hours then the Rain came down in Torrents for the Day. I had to clean the Room afterwards as Rocky had Urinated under him and continued to leak as I was carrying him on his final Journey 65 Feet to the End of the Garden. he was 50 Kilogram in Weight about 8 Stone or 100lbs. I was Exhausted I wanted to go on a Spin on my Bike but just wasnt in the Mood in the End. I havent got over the Shock of it all I miss him very  much. Will I get another Dog ,I will have to think long and hard about that. Perhaps a Small Dog or Two Small Dogs not a Big Dog
